Business Operations Sr. Manager – Global Customer Operations & Experience

Brief description:

LinkedIn is seeking a highly strategic, driven, and analytical Business Operations Sr. Manager. The successful candidate will partner with our Global Customer Operations team to tackle high-priority strategic questions for our organization, and be part of the core Business Operations (“Biz Ops”) team responsible for objective analysis, operational insights, and strategic initiatives across all of LinkedIn. The Biz Ops team is broadly aligned to the functional areas of the organization, and this role will be a key member of the team focused exclusively on working with LinkedIn Global Customer Operations leadership. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology in general and LinkedIn specifically. The position is based in Mountain View but may require occasional work in San Francisco and Sunnyvale.

Responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the Vice President of GCO to shape growth of the business and improve operational effectiveness
  • Deliver strategic projects for our leadership that provide key business insights for high-priority initiatives
  • Lead global cross-functional teams on strategy and operational improvement projects
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of our various businesses and develop deep understanding of key value drivers to identify improvement areas and opportunities
  • Provide financial / operational insights and reporting to monitor business line performance and to continually analyze business drivers
  • Analyze both structured and unstructured data to drive member- / customer- centric insights
Required skills and experience:

Problem solver: High-level problem solving and analytical skills, combined with sharp business judgment and exceptional ability to communicate cross-functionally

Strong leader and advisor: Ability to advise senior-level executives on issues of strategy, organization, and operations. Should desire to mentor and develop a growing team – both within Biz Ops and GCO more broadly.

Highly productive: Ability to be highly productive with limited oversight on day-to-day direction. This role is intended for somebody who will take meaningful responsibility for shaping and executing upon our strategy and operations

Strong analytic and presentation skills: High-quality analysis and presentation creation skills using advanced Excel and PowerPoint is a must. Knowledge of SQL or relational databases is a plus.

High-energy, team-first, positive attitude: Must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment

BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science and MBA from a top-ranked university preferred. Academically, you’ve shown consistent top achievement and graduated at or near the top of your class. Professionally, you bring 6-8 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or in a strategy role within the technology or related industries.
