Operations and Logistics Planner (M&D Team)
Ireland, IE - Information Technology and Services

The Operations and Logistics Planner (internally titled as Operational Analyst) will be a key member of the Manufacturing and Distribution team based in our Dublin HQ.  The succesful candidate will report into the Production Services & Distribution Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Manager in identifying logistics areas for improve efficiency, productivity and processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining, tracking and analyzing all shipments, including working with carriers.
  • Give oversight and training to Temp contract staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of orders, inventory receipt, putaway, cycle count, training and transactions.
  • Analyse and provide detailed status reports to management on Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Distributes orders for processing and ensures they are screened for any exception handling required. Manifesting the daily shipments, update PMT, loading courier, providing necessary paperwork for shipments.
  • Perform Cycle Counts, resolve discrepancies, propose process improvements where appropriate.
  • Perform Quality Checks per Procedure on duplication, assembly, inventory and shipping activities.
  • Analyse inventory, set Kanban levels, optimise Warehouse space.
  • Principle expert on Shipment Exception Processes for countries that have non-standard Import/Export requirements.
  • Compile comprehensive Shipping reporting from a range of data sources.
  • Assist Manager with Procedure management (writing, updating, approving)
  • SuperUser for Service Portal
  • Report major issues to management. Troubleshoot basic issues independently. Provide daily status to management.
  • Quarter end responsibilities such as setting batches .    
  • Responsible for variety of activities and responsibilities including processing of software requests, downloading or uploading files for electronic distribution, hardware configurations, media duplication / verification and artwork creation, system transactions using Oracle applications, data entry, filing, shipping requests, making graphs for management review.
  • Participate in projects and teams as dictated by business needs.
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving
  • To undertake any other task that may be deemed necessary from time to time in the fulfillment of your role
  • Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment.
