We have an exciting opportunity within ADP National Accounts for a Director - Partner Development
Responsible for establishing relationships with significant global players in the GES marketplace, with the goal of creating access to large opportunities that ADP is currently not engaging in. Initially, develop the list of potential partners, and assess potential value for ADP. Create a plan for each partner to access the C-suite, present a customized value plan, and gain agreement for a full evaluation. Once partnerships have been established, engage field resources within ADP and Partner organization to proactively identify teaming opportunities. Lead the pursuit teams for the initial opportunities identified, with direct leadership for ADP’s participation in early opportunities. Will also act as a coordination point for resources within other Business Units that have existing relationships or are considering leveraging these partners. After partnership(s) established, continue to manage the full partnership life cycle including development, technical enablement, business planning, sales enablement and growth of relationship(s).
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive business strategy that will outline how we will identify Partner opportunities with GES prospects and clients Potential Partner organizations include Tier 2 consultants and system integrators, and other large enterprise solution providers (Software companies).
Coordinate resources within all ADP Business Units that have existing relationships or planned partnerships with target partner relationships.
Identify, research and develop new external partners to expand ADP distribution channels and/or current product offerings, to improve market coverage and/or enter adjacent markets
Develops a persuasive analytic business case for each proposed business development/channel partner initiative.
Leads negotiations on all terms and final agreements with partners; including pricing, rules of engagement, sales targets, support, and marketing.
Leads the development of any implementation, integration, marketing communications and business plans for new partners.
Expand current internal partnerships (ESI, NAS, AVS) and build programs to support business strategy.
Experience, Skills, Academic:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience in sales, marketing and business development. Extensive experience in building strategic alliances and partner programs in a business to business environment. Experience in developing and supporting partner programs.
Negotiating - Helps convince target organizations to partner with ADP. Negotiates deal terms.
Leadership - Leads internal due diligence efforts. Strong emphasis on matrix management/leadership skills.
Strategic Planning - Develops and prioritizes target markets and organizations.
Creative Problem Solving - Finds win-win opportunities for ADP and potential partners.
Analysis & solution development- Develops persuasive business cases.
Channel conflict resolution
Project Management - Manages several complex projects to successful completion.
Communication & presentation - Has strong written, oral and presentation skills.
Collaboration/Teamwork - Works effectively with others, both internally and externally to achieve goals.
Initiative - Proactively seeks out new revenue opportunities.
