Responsibilities:

Have you mastered the balance between creativity and technology? Do you want to be part of a company that is changing the way enterprise software is developed and used? The Marketing development team at Salesforce is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced senior software development manager to lead the team that is responsible for the corporate marketing digital presence. We use Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the organization, so experience working in that environment is a big plus.



This position will work very closely with Marketing to plan and execute a large variety of technical projects. You will bring to the table the ability to deeply understand business drivers and process, preferably through previous experience working on large scale applications and Websites. You will be responsible for continual improvement of your scrum team. You will work closely with each of your staff members to assess and improve their skills, and develop a career path for them. You will be the public face for many cross-department initiatives so your communication skills must be excellent.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 4+ years managing technical staff

• 4+ years experience managing or working on corporate marketing websites

• 6+ years of experience with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java

• Deep experience working with design/UX teams

• Strong understanding of MVC concepts

• Strong understanding of object oriented development design

• Ability to process and understand business drivers through previous experiences working on large scale websites.

• Experience working with content management systems

• Demonstrated thought leadership around cutting edge technologies – social, mobile

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

• Serve as a mentor and strong leader for your staff members and continually assess to help them improve their skills and further define their career path within Salesforce.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Agile/Scrum methodologies experience a plus

• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment

• Ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent. Prefer Masters.
