This position is in the Operations team for the Salesforce Services organization which is the Professional Services (IT consulting) arm of Salesforce.com. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology, business, and operations, with an emphasis on business processes, analytics and P&L management in a world class technology company. The position will be responsible for reporting, managing management dashboards, and closely monitoring the levers that affect the Salesforce Services P&L. While no formal finance or accounting knowledge is required, comfort dealing with financial numbers and P&Ls is a must. The position will work closely with company leaders in Salesforce Services, Operations, and Finance. In addition, the individual will also be responsible for interfacing with our SVP’s on a near daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Monthly invoicing (Billing) Process within AMER Regions
• Become an Expert in Salesforce Services Business Process, Objectives and Product offerings
• Collect, analyze and present Global Forecast weekly to Executive Leadership Team for Salesforce Services on KPI’s
• Provide the right management system, process framework, visibility, measurement, and analysis for our senior management to make informed decisions and drive successful business outcomes for Salesforce Services. Develop the right set of processes, management reports and metrics to create transparency, influence pro-active decision making and enable financial management
• Create, populate and maintain management dashboards for running the Salesforce Services business
• Responsible for all operational metrics and measures for Salesforce Services – targets also carried by other consulting leaders. In the event of some early warning signs trending downwards, pro-actively alert the management team and partner with them to course correct in the business
• Liaison with business professionals in the team responsible for maintaining global processes and tools for Salesforce Services
• Manage the Salesforce Services Line of Business Application from a business perspective
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Salesforce Services Line of Business Application
• Communicate with senior executives (VPs and SVP) on a near daily basis
Required skills/experience
• MBA within one year of graduation
• 2-4 years work experience in the hi-tech industry, ideally in business operations, or business management
• Executive presence and high degree of professional maturity a must
• Ability to manage senior stakeholders, but at the same time being able to dive deep, pull reports and analyze system data effectively
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills – including Excel modeling
• Ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up paced environment
• Proactive approach a must
• Interest in Cloud technologies and a passion for the Cloud a must
