As an Insights Analyst for Sales Solutions( http://ift.tt/1EmQEk0 )you will have the opportunity to work with one of the richest proprietary data sets. You will be able to shape the future of a rapidly growing business line at LinkedIn. You will produce insights that support our field sales team, prospects, and customers. You will work closely with our sales and product marketing teams to provide data analysis support that will be used in producing powerful sales proposals, client business reviews, and marketing material. In this role, you will become an expert at extracting data from our quickly expanding proprietary data set and turning it into business insights.



To be successful in this role you need to be highly analytical, have a passion for querying databases in SQL and be comfortable structuring ambiguous requests. You must be able to juggle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and work with sales teams to figure out exactly what is impactful to clients. Your stakeholders won’t always know what’s possible, so it is important that you ask effective questions to get clarity in addition to managing expectations on what you can deliver.

Responsibilities

• Using LinkedIn’s data, innovate the ways in which we can enable our sales and marketing teams as well as our clients


• Take a general business question and determining what data could be gathered to answer it


• Effectively prioritize across a wide range of opportunities to drive value leveraging our data


• Write SQL queries to extract the necessary data and become a LinkedIn data expert


• Analyze the results to generate a business insight


• Present the information either in Excel or PowerPoint and demonstrate to client


• Manage relationships with internal teams


• Work independently with cross-functional stakeholders

Requirements:

• Highly driven & execution-focused


• 5+ years experience in analytical world and consulting background is a plus


• Top notch analytical abilities


• Proficiency with SQL/relational databases


• Experience providing actionable insights to internal customers


• Extremely well organized and capable of handling multiple ad hoc requests for information simultaneously


• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills


• BA/BS required


• Experience with Hive, Pig, and/or Python a plus
