We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Marketing Solutions team in achieving our goal of being the most effective place online for marketers to engage with professionals. You will be responsible for selling LinkedIn digital marketing solutions to the world’s most sophisticated marketers, helping them connect with our audience of success-driven professionals. You will develop solutions to company-wide problems while leading teammates and delivering against numbers.
You will be confident on the phone, tenacious and highly organized. Ideally, you will be used to high volume, transactional sales and you will perform and adapt well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment. You will be able to effectively manage time, reach decision-makers and quickly determine opportunity potential. An adept collaborator, you will have the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization. Some experience in the core and emerging/ mid-market will be highly regarded.
The role will be based in Hong Kong and will report to the North and Southeast Asia Head of Marketing Solutions, Core & Emerging Markets. You will have the opportunity to work with the broader sales team, product specialist team and other sales managers across the business. There is also plenty of opportunity to interact and collaborate across our global footprint of offices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales plan to ensure your quarterly target achievement
- Follow the ramp up program defined by your mentor and start to build a pipeline of companies
- Take ownership of your portfolio and proactively reach out to customers, deliver a customized solution and start generating your first deals
- Set up your accounts, discover various business processes and understand relevant metrics
- Define the best set of KPI and reports to track and report your activity
- Discover the competitive landscape and elaborate your elevator pitch
- Navigate through various tools that enable you to build solutions and adapt them to fit into your “book of business”
- Attend relevant Marketing Solution product trainings and explore our various suite of products
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in marketing or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in media sales
- Ability to converse in Mandarin, Cantonese and English is mandatory
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in online or traditional media sales at a top publisher platform
- Experience in marketing or in a role making recommendations to marketers
- Knowledge of how Internet advertising technology works and the ability to explain it in ordinary terms
- Excellent communication and telephone skills
- Possess relationships with top marketing decision makers
- Ability to structure and manage complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
