Position: Sales Engineer (Mandarin-speaking) - BASED IN SINGAPORE
The Sales Engineer is responsible for presenting Salesforce.com product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers in the Mainland China market, to evoke confidence in company's technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Sales Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.
Responsibilities:
- Understand customer goals and challenges and establish Salesforce.com 's product as the best solution available.
- Build and present customized demonstrations.
- Present Salesforce.com technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security.
- Participate in all product, sales, and process training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective.
- Attain quarterly and annual sales objectives assigned by management.
- Respond effectively to RFI's and RFP's.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Business applications presales experience.
- Extensive experience selling in the China market.
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems in varied political environments.
- Demonstrate initiative and self motivation, to deliver high quality work, meeting all deadlines for both internal and external customers.
- Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment.
- Knowledge of related enterprise applications, relational databases, and web technology.
- Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies.
- B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, MBA, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel to China.
- Business level fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
Desired Skills:
- Experience with CRM sales or consulting.
- Experience with enterprise application platforms.
- Fluency in Cantonese would be a plus but not required.
