Qualifications :


Key Objective:

Perform functionality, stress, and performance testing for Oracle Linux, work together with development teams to ensure the premium quality of Oracle Linux.



Responsibilities:

1. Working together with Oracle Linux development team on test case and test plan design, and test execution

2. Reporting, tracking and analyzing bugs

3. Automating Oracle Linux testing

4. Supporting local partners on Oracle Validated Configuration programming



Required Skills:

1. Rich experience with the GNU/Linux operating system

2. Good python and bash shell programming skills

3. Experience with test automation

4. Experience with Linux virtualization

5. Good working knowledge of C programming on Linux platform

6. Excellent system-level debugging skills



Desired Skills:

1. Experience with one or more subsystems of the Linux kernel (e.g. net, fs, mm, etc) is a big plus

2. Experience with one or more automation frameworks (e.g. Jenkins, autotest, testng, etc) is a big plus

3. Experience with commonly used Linux test tools (e.g. LTP, fio, LMbench, etc)

4. Experience with Java programming

5. Oracle DB experience is a plus

6. Experience with working in a multinational environment



Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.



As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.



Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
