Position Description
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to design the end-to-end technology portfolio for marketing systems at Salesforce.com. This role will engage with business process owners, technologists, and our Enterprise Architecture group to design state-of-the-art architecture and provide a delivery roadmap for Campaign to Lead and related processes. You must have expert understanding of the key aspects of high-tech marketing departments: pipeline gen/campaigns, branding, website, analytics, events, etc. You are expected to work independently and collaboratively to deliver automated systems that optimize diverse business problems. You will provide guidance to team members based on your in-depth knowledge and experience.
The ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrated a passion for designing architecture with reusability, scalability, and high quality. The strong candidate will have multiple years of experience leading multi-system architecture initiatives in the marketing space for fast-growing technology companies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with Business Unit executives to rationalize and align business unit roadmaps.
- Work with IT Marketing scrum teams and product owners to influence team roadmaps and co-design key functions.
- Clearly documenting and communicating opportunities and constraints in a hyper-hybrid application architecture to a multi-disciplinary, collaborative audience.
- Rationalizing the need for satellite/boundary systems in the application landscape to optimize the IT investment and increase G&A capabilities.
- Advocate IT organization's technical standards and arch vision to ensure long term roadmap integrity.
- Work with a team of cross-functional architects in other business domains to document and manage the inputs and outputs of Marketing systems into non-Marketing systems.
- Participate as a leader to define and implement the IT development standards across business units.
Desired Experience:
- 8+ years working in a business systems analyst, product manager, software architect, or engineering manager role.
- 5+ years of managing and/or architecting enterprise or Marketing systems, or running Marketing systems in an operational role.
- Ability to serve as a collaborative and effective partner with business unit executives; ability to influence decisions.
- Experience with cloud enterprise business applications. Experience with at least one Marketing Automation system.
- Proven track record mentoring and influencing in a matrixed IT organization
- Strong communication skills with capability to facilitate deep technical conversations. Must be able to explain clearly the benefits of an architectural approach.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
