Senior Manager, Business Operations / Sales Strategy

Salesforce.com is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join a growing Business Operations and Sales

Strategy team in Europe.



The role will report into the Senior Director for Business Operations / Sales Strategy in EMEA and scope of

coverage is the Uk and Ireland. Position will be based out of our landmark office

in London.



The Business Operations / Sales Strategy role is an instrument role within the Sales organisation and features a

mix of strategic planning, business analysis, sales optimization and business operations.

This is an excellent transition role in to the high tech industry for a Senior manager-level individual at a top consulting firm or an

experienced sales operations professional with exceptional business acumen.



Deliverables take the form of recommendations on go-to-market plans, segmentation, sales coverage and

investment prioritisation. Operationally, the focus will be on forecasting, trend analysis, business performance

tracking, and formulation of actionable recommendations. The successful candidate will regularly brief

executives and own various cross-functional initiatives.



Responsibilities :

  • Analyse the health of the business and present recommendations to senior management for strategic decision making and investment

  • Design and interpret key performance metrics, and craft plans to address pronounced weakness

  • Identify untapped market potential; design and implement sales plans to capture it

  • Drive rigorous sales execution and oversight, ensuring accurate forecasts and total transparency

  • Own the annual and long range sales planning process

  • Design and implement the sales coverage model for Sales

  • Work cross-functionally to assist in the development of go-to-market strategies for new geographies, products and market segments.

  • Build executive presentations, crafting the messages of Sales




Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Significant work experience in sales operations or equivalent function with significant exposure to sales teams, OR experience in management consulting with strong exposure to B2B go-to-market strategy

  • Sales experience, preferably technology-related, is valued, but not required

  • Experience working in the European market

  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, yet translate those results to easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations

  • Strong executive presence and engagement skills

  • Highly collaborative style with strong influence skills

  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency

  • Facility with financial modelling and tools such as Excel, databases, Business Objects, etc.

  • Assertiveness, directness, and a "company first" mentality

  • English/French proficiency is a requirement, additional languages a plus.

  • BS/BA required; MBA a plus, but not required
