Job Description



Dell Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary Dell Services Federal Government, Inc. (DSFG) is seeking a Service Desk Specialist to support our team in Oklahoma City, OK. The Service Desk Specialist must apply entry level fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Must perform work that requires practical experience and training. Work is performed under supervision.



Essential Functions:



*Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussion with users.



*Ensures a timely process through which problems are controlled. Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps.



*Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.



*Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.



*Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.



*Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.



*Interacts with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.



*Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.



*Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.



Required Skills



*Experience in supporting a service desk in a customer facing role.

*The ability to obtain at least one Microsoft Certified exam qualifying them as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) for Office 2007 or later.



Desired Skills



*At least 1 year of current experience in supporting a call center-type service desk.

*At least one current Microsoft Certified exam which qualifies them as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) for Office 2007 or later.



Education



*Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent

*ITIL Foundations v3

*Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (ability to obtain within 90 days)

*Security+ and Microsoft Windows certifications a plus.



Experience



Typically requires 3 years relevant experience without a Degree or Undergraduate Degree and at least 1/2 year relevant experience
